Buxton Court Closure!

High Peak residents have until Thursday (8th October) to comment on plans to shut the magistrates court in Buxton!

If approved, the proposals will see hearings move to Chesterfield and those needing to attend court, for whatever reason, facing a journey of almost an hour by car and two hours or more by public transport.

Among those who have raised concern about the move include High Peak MP Andrew Bingham, and Derbyshire County Council.
